What is Organic?
Organic foods are real, unaltered and clean.
Organic certification assures that a product has been grown and handled according to strict regulations set by the Department of Agriculture. Organic foods are minimally processed without artificial ingredients, preservatives or irradiation to maintain the integrity of the food.

Food Product Guidelines
Mazopiya strives to provide whole food choices and products that are fresh, in season, minimally packaged, reasonably priced and produced by businesses with sound/ethical practices. Our product choices are evaluated carefully using the following selection criteria in order of preference:
- Locally Produced
- Certified Organic
- Fair Trade Certified
- Produced Using Sustainable Practices
We give preference to the purest product lines and avoid products containing high fructose corn syrup, GMO’s and nitrates as well as products that have been irradiated.
Mazopiya does not carry any products that contain the following:
- Artificial Colors, Flavors or Preservatives
- Artificial or Chemical Sweeteners
- Trans-Fats or Hydrogenated Oils
Our meat and dairy products are free of artificial growth hormones and antibiotics; and meet the requirements of cage free living conditions.
We do not carry products that have been tested on animals.
Known exceptions are only be made with the approval of the Store Manager and will be posted accordingly.
